Themed "Invent the New Reality", Intel Developer Forum was held at Shanghai International Convention Center on April 2-3, 2008. As one of the top IT events this year, the Forum attracted over 7,000 attendees.
A number of new technologies were released on IDF Shanghai, including Intel's brand new Intel® Centrino® AtomTM processor technology, and Intel® architecture-based MIDs (Mobile Internet Devices), which are supported by equipment vendors from all over the world. Intel also unveiled its second-generation Intel-powered Classmate PC-"Netbook" for world education market.
Intel senior executives and technology experts, including Pat Gelsinger, David Perlmutter, Anand Chandrasekher, Renee James, Andrew Chien, delivered keynote speeches, introducing Intel's advanced technologies, products and solutions as well as the next-generation Intel® micro-architecture and technical vision.
A series of important announcements were made by Intel and eco-system partners, which include relevant government agencies, industrial organizations, education institutions, equipment vendors, software developers, service providers, etc.
More than 100 sponsors and exhibitors showcased their latest technological achievements at IDF, with over 150 booths throughout Technology Showcase and Intel Pavilions.
