BSGS001
On autonomic storage systems ★★  ( Download Session Foils )
Speaker introduction :
Richard Chiang,Technical Marketing Engineer,APAC Storage Group,Intel Corporation
Intended Audience: Developers and Business Decision Makers
What you will get from this session:
- Scale-out storage is one approach to reducing data center TCO, increasing device utilization, and improving the overall QoS in an enterprise.
- This talk presents the related research at Intel and our key steps toward creating a decentralized, or scale-out, storage architecture. First, we replace monolithic storage systems with commodity storage platforms.
- Second, we develop more expressive storage protocols (e.g., objects) so to offload management tasks into each platform.
- Finally, we explore platform-resident algorithms that can assist administrators with routine storage management (e.g., configuring, provisioning, and tuning).
14:30-15:20

BSGS002
Accelerating Enterprise Storage Products with Next Generation Inte(R)Xeon(R) Processor-based Platforms ★★  ( Download Session Foils )
Speaker introduction :
Tony J Yang,APAC Technical Marketing Manager,Storage Group, Intel Corporation
Intended Audience: Developers and Business Decision Makers
What you will get from this session:
- This session will cover architectural changes and features included in forthcoming multi-core, dual processor IA platforms.
- In particular, the discussion will dive into an understanding of the importance and application of the features with respect to typical storage usage models.
15:30-16:20

BSGS003
Storage Bridge Bay ★★★ ( Download Session Foils )
Speaker introduction :
Tony J Yang,APAC Technical Marketing Manager,Storage Group, Intel Corporation
Intended Audience: Developers and Business Decision Makers
What you will get from this session:
- Design concepts for storage disk enclosure and storage controller interfaces.
- Examples of storage products that can be built by combining a disk enclosure and with the intelligent controller that gives the product its personality.
- Discussion of common interface issues with connecting the different electronics packages to a disk enclosure.
- Overview of specifications that can facilitate building this interface and where new specifications need to be developed.
- List of key benefits for developers and end users in following the guidelines in enclosure/controller interface design.
16:30-17:20

BSGS004
Maximizing Data Protection ★★  ( Download Session Foils )
