James Chen

Intel IT Director (China), General Manager of IT Consulting Service (Asia and Europe regions)

James Chen has extensive experience in the technology management, particularly in information technology. Since joining Intel in 1995, James has driving many manufacturing process improvements for Intel microprocessor technology in Intel Fab 7 and Fab 9. He has been recognized as a technology expert in process and yield improvement in the IC research and development and manufacturing. James has been a key driver for Intel IT globalization. He has involved in setting and implementing Intel IT globalization strategy. Since 2002, he has been working in Shanghai as an expatriate to ramp Intel IT Asia and Europe operations and support the fast growth in emerging markets for Intel. He is the director of Asia and Europe regions of Intel IT Consulting Service which provides the software development and IT consulting service to all Intel business groups. He is also the IT China country manager of Intel where he leads IT organizations to support operations for Intel' s 7,000 workers in China. Sharing his more than ten year' s of experience in information technology and the general management practices in a multinational company, James has been invited to talk to the senior managers and executives from IT Ministry of Chinese government, Ministry of Chinese Railway, General Electric Asia, China Construction Bank, GTJA and Galaxy Security firms etc. Currently, James services in the Board of Directors of New Mexico State Business Roundtable for Education in USA. He also serves in the Board of Directors of American Chinese Engineering and Scientist Association of New Mexico State in USA. James received his PhD in Chemical Physics from Pennsylvania State University and his MBA from the Fuqua Business School of Duke University, both in the U.S.
